McNeil Ranch is owned and operated by Mike and Cathy McNeil, and has been in Mike’s family since 1897. McNeil Ranch is designated as a “Centennial Ranch” by the Colorado State Historical Society, and the Colorado Department of Agriculture. Currently the 4th, 5th, and 6th generations of the McNeil Family live, work, or play on the Ranch.

Conservation and Stewardship

The McNeil’s have won numerous conservation awards, including: American Farmland Trust’s “Steward of the Land” 2001, The Environmental Law Institute’s “National Wetlands Award” 2001 Landowner division, and The Colorado Association of Soil Conservation Districts’ “Outstanding Conservationist” 1999-Ranch Division. Portions of the ranch have been protected with conservation easements, and the remainder is scheduled to be protected by 2007.

Along with Mike and Cathy McNeil, our team consists of nephew Mike Quintana (5th generation), his wife Elizabeth, and our employees: Gilbert Mackey, and his kids; Trisha and Phillip Mackey.
